Summer School in Translational Cancer Research, October 12-16, 2020 in Portugal

12.10.2020 – 16.10.2020 Albufeira Education with a focus on translational cancer research is still an unmet need. To cover that need, the Summer School in Translational Cancer Research will bring together PhD students, postdocs, and researching clinicians (residents) from the entire research continuum.

This one week course is hosted by CCE and the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), organized by the National Center for Tumor Diseases (NCT) Heidelberg, and supported by the German Cancer Consortium (DKTK) as well as others.

It gives excellent opportunities to interact with well-known speakers, create networks, and initiate collaborations in Europe and world-wide. The participants will have the possibility to present their research projects in poster sessions and oral presentations.

Main topics of this year’s Summer School will be:

    Hallmarks of Cancer
    Personalized Cancer Medicine
    Drug Development
    Immunooncology and Immunotherapy
    Hereditary Cancers
    Cancer Prevention
Science Policy, Patient and Public Involvement

The application process is now open. For further information and the online application form please visit www.cancersummerschool.eu and have a look at our video: vimeo.com/375373343.

The deadline for applications is June 15, 2020.

We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation. The safety of all participants and faculty members is our highest priority. For the time being, we still expect that the Summer School will take place as scheduled. In the unfortunate event that we might need to cancel the Summer School, participants will receive a full refund of their cost contribution (not including travel costs) and will be offered the opportunity to attend the next edition in due course. However, the final decision will be taken on August 7, 2020, at the latest.
